So, in the least shocking announcement you are likely to read in the history of EVER, this Saturday, I got down on bended knee and begged asked Cora for her hand in marriage.
And she said, "Yes".
We are down at my college for Homecoming, and I proposed in the chapel with Gwen of ' target=_blank>Everything I Like Causes Cancer as our witness / videographer.
As you can hear, there were a few other (Gwen + 5) people watching as I pulled the old, "fake still photo but the camera is really on video" move to TOTALLY catch Cora off guard.
Gwen, was MONEY in getting the video, and I did a decent enough job of keeping myself together while everybody else fiddle-farted around on the "campus tour" I was giving Cora, when all I wanted to do was GET ENGAGED TO THE GREAT LOVE OF MY LIFE and they are looking for bricks in a patio. 
Granted, it was my brick, but still.
So, to any of you that I mislead or lied to about the timing of this whole thing. I'm sorry, but I'm sure you understand. My gal wanted to be surprised, so I tried to keep this off of blog world.
FYI – While the mall stores may tell you 6 – 8 weeks for delivery, I went to New York Jewelers on "Jeweler's Row" in Chicago. I went in at lunch on Monday, and picked it up on Tuesday after work.
