The Times They Are A Changing

Well, for most of my American readers, that is. Daylight savings time ends this weekend, so Sunday you get an extra hour of sleep in the morning. But, it will start getting dark soul-crushingly early. Speaking of "soul crushing", how 'bout Tim Tebow and the Broncos?

I ran across this fun little video about DST, and thought you all might like it. My favorite bit is when it gets talking about Arizona.

Everyone have a good weekend, and FALL BACK Sunday.

That was a great video! Across the pond, we already changed our clocks last week. When we first moved to Scotland, we didn't hear anything about changing clocks so we figured it was the same as when the States did it. Thus we ended up the embarrassed couple at church an hour early. Apparently they like to have them a week apart.
I would be happy ditching the whole system. I almost missed a flight in LA once because I was flying in from a stay in Phoenix on a DST day (which of course Phoenix didn't advertise) . I thought I had an extra hour between flights...luckily I saw something a clock in the airport and ran to my gate!

All this Fall Back means is that I'll be up an hour earlier with the kids.

THANKS for the reminder.

Sheesh - so much for yard/property maintenance during the 9 to 5 work week for 6 damn months.....

By the way, Scope - LOVE your mouthwash.

I hate the time change almost as much as I hate the Broncos line play.

Haha! That was cute. And SO true about Arizona. Who want to be outside in 100+ degree weather??? Not even me.

Further proof that people are stupid.

I've often thought we ought to do an "opposite DST" here in AZ -- set the clocks ahead for the winter, to give us more daylight hours when the weather's actually nice outside!

But after watching the video, I am thinking we don't need to further complicate an already ridiculously complex system.
