I Had A Dream*

Wet-Bed

He woke up in a panic @ 4:30 am.

He'd had one of THOSE dreams again.

Terrified, he slowly checked.

Whew!  All clear.

Thinking back on the dream…

They were after him.  He was trying to evade them.

Who? He didn't know.  Why?  He had specific idea.

He was trapped in a basement.  He had to escape.

He wasn't wearing any pants. (Was this is why he was evasive?)

And he had to pee.  Really, REALLY badly.

So he did.  Just started peeing on the basement floor.  And he kept peeing for 5 dream minutes while moving about, plotting his escape.  It was the pee of breaking the seal after being on a bender.  So forceful it stung pleasantly as it erupted out relieving the enormous pressure on the bladder wall.

Filling buckets like a lemonade firehose.

Splashing on the floor.

It was a glorious pee.  Good thing he wasn't wearing any pant (a recurring motif in his dreams.  Shirt? Yes.  Pants? Nope.  Junk dangling in the breeze.)  Wouldn't be able to pee and move with those around his ankles.

Whew, he was relieved to find that he had only relieved himself in the dream.

So far…

And not surprisingly, he got up and peed before going back to sleep.

Have you ever had the "peeing dream"?

* Please note, this really has nothing to do with Martin Luther King, but with an actual dream on Tuesday night.

Hmmmm, let's analyze this one, shall we? I'm taking this on over to dreammoods.com. Let's see what they say it means.

Brace yourself. ;-)

Basement: To dream that you are in a basement, symbolizes your unconscious mind and intuition. The appearance of the basement is an indication of your unconscious state of mind and level of satisfaction. It represents primal urges, animalistic desires and basic needs. The dream may also be metaphor for "abasement" or being "debased". Are you feeling humbled or unworthy?

To dream that the basement is in disarray and messy, signifies some confusion in which you need to sort out. It may also represent your perceived faults and shortcomings.

Being chased (okay, you weren't being chased exactly, but you were trying to avoid them): To dream that you are being chased, signifies that you are avoiding a situation that you do not think is conquerable. It is often a metaphor for some form of insecurity. Alternatively, you may be running away from a primal urge or fear. (hmm, there's that primal urge again. *wink*)

Shirt: To dream of a shirt, refers to your emotions or some emotional situation. The shirt you wear reveals your attitude and level of consciousness about a particular situation. (were you in your work shirt?)

Pants (there wasn't a "no pants" option - we'll take a look at "nudity" in a minute): To see or wear pants in your dream, suggests that you are questioning your role in some situation. Alternatively, the dream may be hinting at some sexual matter.

Naked: To dream that you are naked, denotes the fear of being found out and exposed about your activities and misjudgment.

To dream that you suddenly discover your nudity and are trying to cover up, signifies your vulnerability to a situation.

Penis: To see a penis in your dream, signifies sexual energy, power, aggression, and fertility. To see an exceptionally large penis, suggests doubts and anxieties about your sexual drive and libido. (HUH????)

Urination: To see urine in your dream, represents the feelings you have rejected.

To dream that you are urinating, symbolizes a cleansing and release of negative or repressed emotions. Depending on your dream context, urination is symbolic of having or lacking basic control of your life.

To dream that you are urinating in public, symbolizes a lack of privacy in your affairs or your need to make a public apology or confession.

Trapped: To dream that you are trapped or caught in a trap, suggests that you are feeling confined and restricted in your job, career, health, or a personal relationship. You may be in a rut and are tired of the same daily monotony.

So, bottom line? Not such a happy dream. :-(

Of course, I don't believe a word of this decoding dreams crap. I mean who can say that the symbols ALL mean the same thing to EVERYBODY? Pffft! No way. I think it just meant you needed to pee.

And now I'm going to go about my day imagining you with your "junk dangling in the breeze." :-)

I've had dreams of other people pant-less, but never myself. I wonder what that means?! :)

Are you telling the truth? Or, did you really pee in the bed?

@Cora- you ROCK as a dream decoder.

No, Mr. High Yeild Investment Guy, you may not "burn a theme" here.

But your poorly written comment can get deleted.

(Sorry about that folks, but I don't take kindly to SPAM, and swing a mean BAN HAMMER.)

I've never had the 'peeing dream'. Mine (usually) aren't as pleasant.

LOL'ing at Cora! In a good way.

After reading Cora's decoding, I thought to myself:

"...oooooor it could just mean you had to pee and you were asleep. So wake up and pee, dude."

And my answer, is YES, too.

I have pee dreams. Usually for some reason taking place in horrifyingly grimy public toilets a la Trainspotting.

I'm pretty sure Sassy Britches is on the money with her interpretation.

I'm having it right now, actually.

Wait. THIS IS NO DREAM!

Cora rocks!

To be honest, I had ONE peeing dream when I was 10.

It was the one and only time I wet the bed!
