Painting The Town

This weekend, the family and I hit the road for a little trip down state to meet up with my a large chunk of my dad's family.  In fact, including spouses, significant others, and kids, I think with my dad and his brother's and sister's family, 37 of 43 people showed up.

But I'll talk about that at a later date.

While Cora and I were cruising down the highway, we passed a couple of Sherwin –Williams trucks.  And the lovely lady on my right turned to me and I to her, and I voiced what was inside her head…

SWP-Truck

In this day and age, is that REALLY the right message you want to be sending?

SWP-Original

It made me instantly think of something like this:  (FYI - Someone beat me to it.)

Big-Oil

And then, the dripping red lead me me think of this…

SWP-Hemophilia
I know.  I need help.

I don't think I've ever seen one of their trucks until this weekend. Maybe SW only drives them during the night on the west coast out of fear of environmental rioting. And rightly so! That's a TERRIBLE logo! C'mon!

You are so wrong.

I can tell why Cora loves you.

That *is* a really strange logo, isn't it?

I love what you've done with it, though!

Cora - I think the drivers would live in fear of getting run off the road and giving a "hemp & pine sapping" (a locally sourced, sustainable, anti-cruelty version of "tar and feathering") for that logo in Washington state.

Joshua - I've been told by my best friends, "You're not right in the head."

JJ - And March actually IS "Hemophilia Awareness Month". That I didn't make up. Will head over to your new place shortly.

SkyDad - Thanks.

Candy - Yeah, scary place to visit. Try living there! ;-)

LegalMist - Thanks. Sometimes you just look at people and things and think, "Ummm... Like it or not, the world has changed."
