Candy Covered Fashion

With Candy possibly on injured reserve for a day or two, I thought I would step up and do a fashion post for ya'll. Unlike Sass, I have lived the last few years of my life constantly looking around for Clinton and Stacey to bust me and put me on What Not To Wear. I have been a fan of the show since season 1 when Stacey was paired with this mook. Clinton is much better, even though he went to BC. (Since they haven't done a guy in forever, I feel somewhat safe.)

In fact, during the
Sabbatical, (I told you that year was going to keep coming up) I busted a WNTW "contributor" (that's what they call their victims) who was not keeping it up. I was in Cost Plus World Market there on North Avenue, right by my old apartment. It was mid spring. I was planning a special night with Elinore, so I was in buying some candles and carp, to help me pitch some serious woo. Anyway, being unemployed, you 1) Shop in the middle of the day to avoid the rest of humanity. 2) Watch a lot of daytime TV, which SUX!

Anyway, I had just seen the episode with
Shannon (Turbo) from Chicago about 2 days before, and low and behold, who was standing in front of me checking out? Shannon. And she was SO not representing. Baggy sweat suit. Ball cap. Ugh. So, I muttered under my breath loud enough for her to hear, "What would Clinton and Stacey say?" "They'd probably kick my ass," she responded. And then we went back to my place and… (Wait, channel Candy, not Dr. Zibbs!) She paid for her placemats or whatever, and left. End of exchange. Granted, I wasn't all that snazzy, but my ND pull-over was fine. And I had not been on a nationally televised show call "What Not To Wear" with my episode still in rotation.

Anyway, the two items in my closet that I was sure were going to land me on the show.

Sadly, the dogs playing poker shirt I bought when I was running marathons, so it no longer fits. However, the pepper shirt. It's a favorite among my friends.

You can find the dog shirt HERE but I can't seem to find the pepper shirt. But I got it down by the riverfront in Savannah 10 years ago, so if you sweet talk SouthernBelle

Holy creeeeeaaaaaiiiiist!

Now those are some fully awesome fashion disasters right there! They've got my approval, considering I'm a showcase of all things what-not-to-wear myself.

Okay, the pepper shirt is horrifying, but the dog poker one... I don't know, I kind of like it.

; )

Sometimes, the pepper shirt is paired with either an electric green or electric yellow T-shirt underneith, to help accent some of the colors that are otherwise overwhelmed by the red and orange.

And my friends love it so much, that sometimes they pull out lighters. I think light at a concert, not like villagers with torches. But I could be mistaken.

You could always frame the dog shirt. It's a classic!

My brain may still be a little fuzzy from the concussion, but I think I like BOTH of those fashion disasters.
Of course, they must be worn only when deemed appropriate, ie: playing poker with the boys, at a Red Hot Chili Pepper concert or something...Rest assured, if either of those events pop up you will be all set! You probably don't want to be caught dead wearing them anywhere else. Which reminds me-Halloween is ok too!
HA! Scope you so funny :)

After beating the unholy juggernaut that resides in Chapel Hill, BC is off my shit list. I think it'll be hilarious if they actually fire Jagydzynski for interviewing with the Jets like they planned.

Hey Scope - one of the posts you reminded me I needed to write ("Map of Tassie") is up on my blog today!

I would love to be on that show! I would be the girl that they would say "If you haven't worn it in a year, throw it out!"

I still say we need to work on my nomination.

If only I had enough guts to post a video....

thinking....thinking....

Nope. Can't do it. ;)

I could hardly watch it with that first guy as Stacy's sidekick. All I could think was, "Cut that damn hair, ya dirty hippie!".

I heart Clinton.

Lydia & Sass - You two are far to good looking and anti-train wreck to be on the show. They don't want to have a "You made an already attractive woman even MORE attractive" show.

Bacon Lady - I agree. I loved when the "contributors" would blow him crap about his hair, or the f'd up hockey sweater he was wearing, and he had no defense.

Scope ~ That is...what's the word...prejudice? um...appearance-ist?

How about shit. I think that's shit.

I don't think I mentioned it, but that dog shirt is epic.

I think both of these are appropriate wear for Buffett concerts. And weddings.
